About the London Obesity & Metabolic Surgery

Welcome to the London Obesity and Metabolic Surgery (LOMS) a newly opened private practice  based in London providing you with bariatric and Metabolic specialist private practice clinic which offers the latest diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients who suffer from obesity and gastrointestinal problems.

The practice has a growing group of patients based around London and internationally. Privately insured and self-paying patients are all welcomed at The London Obesity and Metabolic Surgery

The London Obesity and Metabolic Surgery offers weekly scheduled outpatient appointments at London Bridge Hospital and King’s College Hospital. For patient convenience evening and ad-hoc appointments are available and outpatients appointments may now be booked with our very convenient online scheduler. We can accommodate most patients’ requests for appointments promptly.

The practice is led by Mr Sasindran Ramar who is currently a Consultant General Surgeon, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeon, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon at King's College Hospital, London.

Consultant General Surgeon, Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeon, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon

Mr Sasindran Ramar has worked as a Consultant Laparoscopic Bariatric and Metabolic surgeon for the last 7 years in London and has 20 year's experience in General and Laparoscopic surgery. Mr Ramar graduated in prestigious Chennai Medical College and completed a Masters in Surgery in 1999. He then went on to obtain a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery in 1999 in New Delhi. Subsequently Mr Ramar came to England and proceeded to train in advanced General Surgery and Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. Since 2015 he has been working in King's College hospital as a consultant surgeon with interest in metabolic and bariatric surgery, upper gastro intestinal surgery, gallbladder and hernia surgery and honorary senior clinical lecturer at King's College London. Mr Ramar performs a high number of metabolic and bariatric procedures and his outcome data is in the national bariatric registry (NBSR). Mr Ramar is also part of the emergency and trauma team at King's college hospital and is very experienced in abdominal emergencies.
